Vehicle crash involving bicyclists leaves 5 injured
The Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Office released more information Monday on a crash last week near Mapleton that left five bicyclists hurt.
According to the release, all the individuals involved suffered injuries ranging from minor to serious and were transported to the hospitals.
The report states that the group of cyclists involved are students from the Maple River cross country team.
Two victims ages 13 and 16 were seriously hurt, while three victims ages 12, 16 and 52 suffered minor injuries, the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office says all of the cyclists are expected to recover.
This incident remains under investigation.
