Wild finish 2022 NHL Draft with six forwards, two defensemen

The Minnesota Wild’s 2022 Draft heavily emphasized offense with six of their eight picks – and each of their first five picks – being forwards.
The Wild selected left wing Liam Öhgren with the 19th overall selection, then Russian right wing Danila Yurov with the 24th overall selection.

The run on offense continued into the second round on Friday as they selected Ontario-born center Hunter Haight and Calgary-native left wing Rieger Lorenz.
