Gopher Men’s basketball team to play Virginia Tech in ACC/Big 10 Men’s basketball challenge

The matchup is set for the upcoming Men’s Basketball Challenge on ESPN.

Friday, the University of Minnesota announced the school’s men’s basketball team will play the Virginia Tech Hokies later this year. The last time the teams met was in 2011, where the Gophers won by three points at Williams Arena by a score of 58-55.

The game is currently scheduled for Monday, Nov. 28 in Blacksburg, Virginia. In addition, Pitt will play at Northwestern that same day.

ESPN will stream all 14 games on the app, and will air the matchups on ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU.

Games in the challenge will continue Tuesday and Wednesday Nov. 29 and 30.

The challenge is now in its 24th year.
