Woman killed in Crystal house fire identified

A woman who died last month in a Crystal house fire has been identified.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office says 78-year-old Roanne Carol Hopkins died from thermal injury and inhalation of products related to a fire. Her death was ruled an accident.

Crystal police said officers and firefighters responded to the 5700 block of Quail Avenue North at around 12:45 p.m. on April 2. The home was fully engulfed in flames but crews eventually extinguished the fire.
Afterward, crews found Hopkins dead inside the home.
