Vikings trade down in 1st round of the NFL Draft
The Minnesota Vikings came into the first round of the NFL draft with the 12th overall pick, but they traded that pick to the Detroit Lions Thursday night.
In all, the Vikings receive the 32nd overall pick in the 1st round along with the 34th (2nd round) and 66th (3rd round) picks in the draft and Detroit receives the 12th (1st round) and 46th (2nd round) from Minnesota. The Vikings now have the last pick in the 2nd round and the 2nd pick in both the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
The Lions used the 12th pick to select Alabama wide receiver Jameson Williams.
