Timberwolves prepare for Game 5 of NBA playoff series
The Minnesota Timberwolves are hoping to get a one-game lead over the Memphis Grizzlies Tuesday night as their NBA playoff series continues.
Each team currently has won two games in the best-of-seven series, which will continue in Memphis Tuesday night.
Wolves’ player Anthony Edwards had to be helped off the court Saturday due to a leg injury, which luckily wasn’t too severe, as he was able to return. The team has high hopes for him moving forward.

“He stays extremely confident regardless of what’s going on or what just happened,” Wolves head coach Chris Finch said. “Bad quarter, bad half, bad game, it doesn’t matter. He bounces back with the same attitude every single time.”
There’s also been some drama off the court, with the Grizzlies’ head coach calling Game 4 one of the “most poorly officiated games” in his NBA career, causing him to be fined $15,000 for the comments.

“Stress is due to – I think they shot like 42 free throws the first time we played. I don’t think coach Finch complained at all,” said Wolves guard Patrick Beverley. “We’re not up there complaining about referees. Referees are in a tough position after this already. Coming from a young coach, that’s something that you don’t do … that’s something you don’t do especially during the playoffs. Kinda confused a little about that.”
Tipoff for Game 5 is at 6:30 p.m.
Regardless of who wins, there will be a Game 6 at Target Center this Friday.
If the Wolves win the series, it will be only the second time in team history to move on from Round One.
Their best playoff record was in the 2003-04 season when they made it to the Conference Finals, where they then lost to the Lakers.
