Victim identified in deadly stabbing aboard Metro Transit bus
The man who was fatally stabbed aboard a Metro Transit bus Sunday morning in the Uptown area of Minneapolis has been identified.
Police say the victim — 53-year-old Robert Leon Commodore of Minneapolis — and another man on a bus got into an argument, and the other passenger stabbed Commodore in the neck before running away from the scene around 2 a.m. near Lagoon and Emerson avenues.
Commodore was pronounced dead at the scene.
No arrests have been made.
Police say the stabbing was the city’s 27th homicide of the year.
