Man dies after stabbing on Metro Transit bus in Uptown area
Minneapolis police are investigating a fatal stabbing on a Metro Transit bus in the Uptown area early Sunday morning.
The scene around 2 a.m. near Lagoon and South Emerson avenues was the second homicide in Uptown within a roughly two-hour span.

Police believe argument between two men escalated, and the perpetrator stabbed the other passenger before fleeing on foot.
The injured man died on the scene despite life-saving efforts by Metro Transit Police and emergency medical services, police said.
No arrests have been made.
Minneapolis police processed the scene and collected evidence. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release the deceased’s name and the details of his death.
