Police: Man arrested after ramming 3 police squads

One person was arrested Friday afternoon after ramming into three police squad vehicles while trying to flee.

Minneapolis police said officers executed a warrant for weapons and narcotics in the 2200 block of Lake Street East at 12:54 p.m. While trying to escape, the suspect drove into three police vehicles.

However, officers were able to take the suspect into custody and found guns and suspected narcotics in the vehicle, police said.

The suspect complained of pain and was then taken to a hospital for observation before being booked at the Hennepin County Jail.
