Victim of fatal shooting in Powderhorn neighborhood identified
A man who was shot and killed Friday night in Minneapolis’ Powderhorn neighborhood has been identified.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 46-year-old Kirk Douglas Lee.
His cause of death was a gunshot wound to the torso, and his death was ruled a homicide — the city’s fourteenth of the year, according to police.

Minneapolis police were called to a shooting report near East 38th Street and Chicago Ave. South at about 7:47 p.m. There, officers found Lee suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to Hennepin Healthcare, but died later in the night.
No arrests have been announced, as of Tuesday morning.
