Senate DFL members to announce public safety proposals
A package of public safety proposals is expected to be released by senate DFL lawmakers Tuesday afternoon.
The group says the bills are aimed at reducing current crime, preventing future crime and ensuring safe communities for Minnesotans.

Last month, senate republicans unveiled their public safety proposal, which focuses on crime prevention, as well as police officer recruitment and retention.
