Vikings announce agreements with TE Mundt, DT Phillips

As the new league year officially opened Wednesday afternoon, the Minnesota Vikings announced two additions.

The team said it agreed to terms with tight end Johnny Mundt and defensive tackle Harrison Phillips. KSTP Sports confirmed the agreement with Phillips on Monday night.

Phillips joins Minnesota after four years in Buffalo. Picked by the Bills No. 96 overall in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Stanford, Phillips has tallied 107 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 8 tackles for loss, 13 quarterback hits and 3 fumble recoveries in his career.

Mundt has spent the past five seasons with the Los Angeles Rams after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent. He’s played in 47 games in his career, registering 10 catches for 93 yards, and has familiarity with Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell and offensive coordinator Wes Phillips.
