Overnight police chase involving stolen vehicle ends with 2 arrests
Brooklyn Park police say two people are now in custody after a vehicle chase involving several law enforcement agencies during the overnight hours.
According to police, officers were called to help other departments with a chase that entered the city at about 3:20 a.m. Friday, and the involved vehicle had been reported stolen in Minneapolis.
In addition, the two people inside were believed to be armed and were wanted in Ramsey County for burglary and assaulting an officer.
Eventually, the vehicle was disabled in Brooklyn Center and police say the two people inside ran from the scene.
However, a K9 unit was able to find one person, who was then arrested. Officers eventually found the second suspect after a foot chase.
Police didn’t immediately say if anyone was injured during the chase.
Officers didn’t release the names or ages of the two suspects but identified them both as male. They are being held at the Ramsey County jail.
