Royce Lewis, Trevor Larnach among invitees to Twins Spring Training
On Monday, the Minnesota Twins announced 18 players who are currently on minor league contracts have been invited to MLB Spring Training in 2021.
Among them is former No. 1 overall pick Royce Lewis and a former No. 20 overall pick Trevor Larnach.
Nine pitchers will be joining the Twins. They are: left-handers Andrew Albers, Charlie Barnes, Danny Coulombe and Brandon Waddell; right-handers Luke Farrell, Griffin Jax, Derek Law, Juan Minaya and Glenn Sparkman; three catchers in David Banuelos, Caleb Hamilton and Tomás Telis; three infielders in Lewis, Tzu-Wei Lin and JT Riddle; and three outfielders: Keon Broxton, Larnach and Rob Refsnyder.

Of the 18 invited to camp, 11 have major league service time (Albers, Broxton, Coulombe, Farrell, Law, Lin, Minaya, Refsnyder, Riddle, Telis and Waddell).
In addition, participating in major league camp as minor league depth players will be left-handed pitcher Andrew Vasquez; right-handed pitchers Matt Canterino, Tom Hackimer, Robinson Leyer, Ryan Mason, Chandler Shepherd and Josh Winder; catchers Alex Isola and Kyle Schmidt; and infielders Drew Maggi, Jose Miranda, Aaron Sabato, Chris Williams and Zander Wiel.
Twins pitchers and catchers are scheduled to begin their workouts on Friday. The first full-squad workout is scheduled to take place on Feb. 23.
