Twins announce revised Spring Training schedule, health and safety protocols

Friday, the Minnesota Twins announced a revised 2021 Spring Training Grapefruit League schedule, which includes 29 games in 31 days.

The games will be against just five teams: the Boston Red Sox, the Tampa Bay Rays, the Atlanta Braves, the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Baltimore Orioles.

The exhibition slate begins on Feb. 28 and wraps up on March 30 ahead of Opening Day on April 1. Tickets for Spring Training games will go on sale on Feb. 19 for spring training season ticket holders and on Feb. 24 for the general public.

In accordance with MLB regulations, certain COVID-19 safety protocols will be in place, such as:

  • Buffer zones between the field and the first row of ticketed seats. Autographs and direct contact between on-field personnel and fans aren’t allowed.
  • Cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing enhancements to all seats, railings, food and beverage surfaces, elevators and restrooms.
  • Concession and retail staff protocols, and partitions to separate guests from staff at points of sale.
  • Face covering requirements for all staff and guests at least 2 years of age.
  • Physical distancing guidance for fans as they move around the ballpark.
  • Touchless transactions are encouraged for all ticketing while credit card purchases won’t require signatures or pins.
