UPDATE: 4 Green Line Light Rail stops reopen after demonstration protesting St. Paul police shooting

UPDATE: The four Metro Transit Green Line station closures have ended, according to Metro Transit.
Four Metro Transit Green Line Light Rail stops were closed Friday night due to an ongoing demonstration blocking the tracks.
Metro Transit said at 6 p.m. that the eastbound and westbound Hamline Avenue and Lexington Parkway stops were affected.
Trains were set to switch directions at Snelling Avenue Station and Victoria Street Stations.

The demonstration is in response to the shooting of a man in St. Paul by police last week.
The officer who shot the suspect has since been fired by the St. Paul Police Department. St. Paul Police Chief Todd Axtell deemed the shooting not "reasonable or necessary."
