COVID-19 in Wisconsin: 632 cases, 4 deaths reported

The Wisconsin Department of Health Services reported 632 newly confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing the state’s cumulative total to 468,531. It was the lowest daily case count since Sept. 7, most likely as a result of decreased processing over Christmas Day.
State health officials also reported four more deaths from COVID-19. To date, 4,683 people have died from the virus in Wisconsin.
An additional 31 people were admitted to the hospital with complications from COVID-19. As of the most recent report, there were 1,243 total COVID-19 patients in Wisconsin hospitals, with 260 in intensive care. So far, 20,734 coronavirus patients have required hospitalization.
Over the past week, Wisconsin has reported an average of 1,882 confirmed coronavirus cases and 41 deaths per day. An average of 24% of all people tested over the past seven days were positive for COVID-19.
As of Saturday, 433,415 people have recovered or are recovering from COVID-19 in Wisconsin, while 30,331 cases remain active.
