Everson Griffen announces he has Bipolar disorder

Friday night, Viking’s defensive end, Everson Griffen, announced he has bipolar disorder.
In an Instagram post, Griffen said that he will embrace this and wants to become an advocate for mental health.
Earlier this year, police responded to Griffen’s home after screenshots of text conversations that included the phrases "I need help" and "people are trying to kill me," as well as a video depicting Griffen holding a gun was posted to his social media. Shortly after, he received treatment at a health care facility.
Griffen says he has been running from this for a long time but is no longer ashamed of the mental illness.
In the post, Griffen promises he will listen to the experts and that he is thankful for all the support.
