Family, friends honor life of 5-year-old boy shot and killed in North Carolina
Family and friends gathered Thursday night to honor the life of Cannon Hinnant, the 5-year-old boy shot and killed while riding his bike in Wilson, North Carolina, last weekend.
WTVD-TV reports that more than 100 cars filled the funeral home parking lot and nearby places as loved ones and strangers showed up to lift up the family during a tragic time.
Merrill Race, Hinnant’s grandfather, told WTVD "we shouldn’t even be here," expressing his pain and disbelief.
