Boston's St. Patrick's Day parade cancel due to health concerns

The Boston's St. Patrick's Day Parade has been canceled, according to Mayor Marty Walsh.

"This decision is being made out of an abundance of caution to ensure that we are doing what is needed to keep the residents of Boston safe and healthy," Walsh said. "While the risk in Boston remains low, this situation is changing very quickly and we are closely monitoring any local cases."

The statement continues to say their top priority is to prevent any new cases and to pay close attention to the guidance of public health officials.
