Tater tot hotdish gets 15 seconds of fame on ‘SNL’

A Minnesota comfort food staple got a brief mention on "Saturday Night Live" this week.

In the "Weekend Update" segment, Michael Che brought up how Sen. Amy Klobuchar has been bringing her family’s tater tot hotdish to campaign events in Iowa.

He followed up with a jab at another Democratic presidential candidate.

"Coincidentally, tater tot hotdish is the name of a guy Joe Biden wrestled at a public pool in 1962," Che said.

Klobuchar must have been watching, too. She posted a still frame of the segment on Twitter, saying, "Big night for my tater tot hotdish!"

By the way, "SNL," hotdish is one word.
