St. Paul spring farmers market kickoff is April 23

The St. Paul farmers market will kick off its spring market next month with activities, free yoga, a supplies donation drive and live music.

The market operates from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturdays and from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Sundays.

During the kickoff weekend, organizers of the market say dozens of area growers and producers will set up in the downtown area at 290 5th S. E. In addition, there will be nearly two dozen markets set up in St. Paul and other suburbs starting in May.

The market recently finished as the runner-up in a recent poll by USA Today regarding the best farmers markets in the country.

The kickoff weekend will include free yoga from 10 – 11 a.m., vendor demonstrations and samplings from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., and kids activities from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Those activities include granola making, a scavenger hunt and decorating balsa wood flowers.

During the kickoff weekend, a donation drive for the nonprofit Face to Face, which helps those who are homeless or housing insecurity in Ramsey County. Items needed include deodorant, toothpaste and shampoo/conditioner. CLICK HERE for a full list of needed items.
