Vice President Mike Pence was supposed to speak at a rally Thursday night in St. Paul. He skipped the event to go to Washington state, so Second Lady Karen Pence took the stage in his stead.

She spoke on jobs and the economy and urged voters to get to the polls this November.

"We need to win the White House again," Pence said. "Minnesota is one of the states that can make a real difference in this election."

President Donald Trump lost Minnesota to Hillary Clinton in 2016.
