Bill Lord, a Navy Reserve veteran, meant a lot to his fellow sailors.

They showed him just how much Tuesday.

The sailors accompanied, by friends and community members, organized a parade outside of Bill’s home where he is in hospice care for brain cancer.

The sailors served together in Hawaii at the submarine base in Pearl Harbor.

One of Bill’s friends said they haven’t done drills together since the 90s, but they have still been getting together for reunions, picnics and regular breakfasts.
