New parents utilizing technology to stay connected to babies in NICU

Becoming a parent is a stressful time, and the COVID-19 pandemic only adds to that stress.
That’s why an area hospital is turning to technology to try to ease some of that new parent pressure.
Maple Grove Hospital is using a live video streaming service for families with newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
The 24-hour per day stream gives parents the option to log in at any time and check on their new bundle of joy.
Families are still able to visit in-person but, because of the pandemic, the hospital is conducting health screens and is limiting the number of people who can visit at one time.
