Giant pumpkin shatters Minnesota record at Stillwater Harvest Fest

Maybe the Great Pumpkin is real, after all.

A submission in the Giant Pumpkin Weigh-Off at the Stillwater Harvest Fest weighed in at 1,990.5 pounds on Saturday. Organizers say that’s good enough to squash the previous Minnesota state record of 1918.5 pounds.

All of the pumpkins in the top 10 weighed over 1,200 pounds. The grand prize this year was $3,750.
