Friendship Academy of the Arts virtually breaks ground on new Minneapolis facility

The Friendship Academy of the Arts has officially broken ground on a new facility in Minneapolis, virtually that is.
Faculty, scholars and their families were all able to watch from home on Facebook Live to see virtual shovels "lifting" dirt for the August opening of the new building. It’ll be open just in time for the new school year.
The new facility will be a central location where the academy can continue its mission to address the opportunity gap for African-Americans.
