Children’s Minnesota brings the State Fair to patients
Children’s Minnesota found a unique and innovative way to bring fun and festivities of the Minnesota State Fair to its young patients despite the pandemic.
The State Fair on Wheels rolled through Children’s Minnesota in St. Paul on Tuesday.
Instead of patients getting together to celebrate, carts were used to bring fair fun to each room.
One cart delivered fair-themed food like corn dogs and cotton candy, another cart was filled with goodie bags of arts and crafts, balloons and stuffed animals and there was even a caricature artist creating caricatures of patients virtually. Star Studio, which is the in-house TV station for Children’s Minnesota, also has a full week of fair-themed shows scheduled.
The State Fair on Wheels will make its way through Children’s Minnesota in Minneapolis on Thursday.
