The sidewalks outside the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital got some color on Tuesday.
A chalk artist and several Twin Cities organizations created a chalk art display outside the hospital to mark the start of Childhood Cancer Awareness month.
People, families and businesses created their own chalk art with inspiring messages.
"It’s to raise money, raise awareness, to speak some joy right now," said Alyssa Frank, executive director of Northwestern Mutual Minneapolis.
Caribou Coffee is getting in on the action, too. For every picture shared on social media with the hashtag #ChalkforMasonic, they are donating a dollar to fund pediatric cancer research.
