An antique wedding dress has been reunited with a local family.
A couple in Fergus Falls found a wedding dress from the 1950s boxed up in the crawl space of their home and posted to Facebook to see if anyone had any clues as to who the owner might be.
Someone reached out to them saying she recognized the short-sleeved dress from her parents’ wedding photos.
Over the weekend, the Twin Cities woman whose mother owned the dress brought it home. She says every detail was in almost perfect condition from when her mother got married decades ago.
The woman hopes to bring the dress to her mother — an 83-year-old woman who lives in a Cottage Grove nursing home — sometime this week.
