Vikings are adapting to Kevin O’Connell’s system

The Minnesota Vikings are in the learning phases of Kevin O’Connell’s new coaches and schemes entering the preseason.

The Vikings opened Organized Team Activities this week, on Wednesday, O’Connell met with media and gave his initial impressions of getting to know his new team.

O’Connell said, “they can look at me as not just an offensive head coach, it’s really important for me that the guys on special teams and defense know that I’m aware of some of the challenging things we’re asking them to do. I think overall it helps me connect with every guy on the roster.”

The Vikings have a closed practice on Thursday.
