No. 5 Minnetonka defeats No. 4 DeLaSalle

The No. 5 (Class 4A) Minnetonka Skippers defeated the No. 4 (Class 3A) DeLaSalle Islanders 79-67 on Saturday afternoon at DeLaSalle High School.

Minnetonka took a 44-27 lead into the half. DeLaSalle made an early second-half push behind Nasir Whitlock and Kyle Johnson. Whitlock finished the game with 23 points and Johnson finished with 24 points for the Islanders.
But, Minnetonka had an answer in stud sophomore guard Jordan Cain. Cain finished the game with 37 points. Junior guard Ibrahim El-Amin finished with 20 points for the Skippers.
