Breezy weekend with Saturday sunshine then Sunday rain

Good evening! What a beautiful end to the workweek with sunny skies and lighter winds today! Most of central and southern Minnesota saw highs in the mid to upper-50s today. While we do have some additional fair-weather clouds overnight, I still expect mainly clear skies tonight and partly to mostly sunny skies tomorrow. Winds pick up overnight and tomorrow is a breezier day, especially across western Minnesota. West-central and southwestern Minnesota is under a Wind Advisory tomorrow from 10 AM until about midnight.

Outdoor burning is not advised tomorrow, especially across western Minnesota.

We end up with cloudy skies and blustery winds overnight Saturday with showers arriving past midnight. Rain is likely off and on throughout your Sunday forecast and into Sunday night. Some snow could mix in with the rain at times across central Minnesota. We have a shot at 0.25-0.50″ of rainfall by Sunday night for central and southern Minnesota into western Wisconsin, with lighter total Up North.

Monday looks mostly cloudy with the likely chance for scattered rain showers that are less widespread and frequent than Sunday’s rainfall. Unfortunately, it looks like we won’t have a great shot at seeing the solar eclipse in the Upper Midwest due to cloud cover.

Next week we have another warm-up into the mid-60s with plenty of sunshine by the middle of next week.

Have a wonderful weekend!
