St. Paul police arrested two 18-year-old men and a 17-year-old boy after a string of incidents Wednesday that ended with a vehicle crashing into the Ox Cart Ale House & Rooftop at 255 Sixth St. E in St. Paul.

Officers went to the 300 block of Luella Street North for a report just before 4:30 p.m. that people in two vehicles were shooting at one another, according to police.

Officers then located a black Jeep that matched the description of one of the vehicles involved in the shooting. When the driver of the vehicle did not comply with a traffic stop and instead sped off, police initiated a chase.

Police say they clocked the Jeep at speeds up to 90 mph as they continued the chase on Interstate 94, but when the driver headed downtown, the officers stopped following the vehicle.

Video provided to 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS by a viewer shows that, eventually, the Jeep struck a passenger vehicle at Sixth Street East and Wall Street, then the driver veered the Jeep into the Ox Cart Ale House. Police confirmed no one was hurt in either crash.

Police arrested three occupants from the Jeep as a result of the incidents and are investigating the initial gunfire exchange. They are now at the Ramsey County Jail and the Ramsey County Juvenile Detention Center pending formal charges.

Investigators found the Jeep was stolen from St. Paul and contained a handgun with a switch to make it automatic. They also found casings inside the Jeep and at the shots fired scene on Luella Street.

At this time, police have not announced additional known suspects.

A 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS photographer captured photos of damage at the scene, which can be viewed in the gallery below.
