In June 2023, reporter Kristin Haubrich knocked on Eric Jaakkola’s door to surprise him with a trip of a lifetime, thanks to Icelandair. His dream was to fly to Sweden to visit his 96-year-old sister, Ava, and their time together included lots of hugs.
