Surviving a Traumatic Brain Injury

Maggie Swanson, an excelsior woman who just qualified for the Ironman World Championship for 2023. An Ironman triathlon consists of a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile marathon. In 2014 Maggie was studying abroad in Spain. She was out for a training run and was hit by a bus. She suffered a traumatic brain injury and multiple broken bones. During her recovery she took up the sport of triathlon. TCL reporter Kristin Haubrich sat down with Maggie and shares her story of inspiration.
