There are times in our lives when you might go through something really hard and out of your control. When they happen, you might find yourself stuck. Dr. Karin Ryan, a Licensed Psychologist from Nystrom & Associates, shares how to get passed it with what is called, “radical acceptance”.

Radical Acceptance is the ability to accept situations that are outside of your control without judging them. By doing so, it can reduce the suffering. Radical acceptance does not mean approval. It is the practice of letting go of needing to have what you want and knowing that you’ll be okay without always having what you want.
