Jelly’s Last Jam

Jelly Roll Morton was a classically-trained pianist who was fascinated by the ragtime, blues and jazz sounds in turn-of-the-century New Orleans. Morton’s claimed to have invented jazz in 1902 because there was “no proof to the contrary.”
The Tony award-winning “Jelly’s Last Jam” tells the troubled story of the self-proclaimed inventor of jazz.
Due to its popularity, Theater Latté Da has extended “Jelly’s Last Jam” an extra week to May 14th. Click here for tickets.
