Gluten-Free Caramel Apple Cake

Gluten-Free Caramel Apple Cake

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup gluten-free flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 green apples, sliced
  • 1/2 cup store-bought caramel sauce
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • Slice the apples thinly and layer on top of the parchment paper in the cake pan.
  • In a large bowl, whisk the eggs until frothy using either a whisk or an electric mixer. Add the sugar and whisk until combined.
  • Pour the baking powder and flour into the sugar and egg mixture. Mix thoroughly. Set aside.
  • Pour the caramel over the sliced apples in the cake pan. Top with the cake batter.
  • Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool. Flip the cake pan over on a plate and peel off the parchment paper.
