Gluten-Free Caramel Apple Cake
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup gluten-free flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 green apples, sliced
- 1/2 cup store-bought caramel sauce
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a 9-inch round cake pan with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Slice the apples thinly and layer on top of the parchment paper in the cake pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk the eggs until frothy using either a whisk or an electric mixer. Add the sugar and whisk until combined.
- Pour the baking powder and flour into the sugar and egg mixture. Mix thoroughly. Set aside.
- Pour the caramel over the sliced apples in the cake pan. Top with the cake batter.
- Bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool. Flip the cake pan over on a plate and peel off the parchment paper.
