Rob Barrett from Cooking for Dads showed Ben and Elizabeth how to do a viral trend in the kitchen – accordion cuts for steaks and potatoes!

For Steak:

  1. Lay steak down on flat surface. Cut on and angle in strips about 1/2” wide but don’t cut all the way through. (You can use dowels or chopsticks to keep from cutting too far.)
  2. Flip steak over and cut on the same angle again with strips about 1/2” inches wide but not all the way through.
  3. Stretch out steak and use rub or marinade in all the wholes.
  4. Grill for 2 minutes each side over high heat.

For Potatoes:

  1. Trim potato to a rectangular block.
  2. Lay flat and cut on an angle 1/4” strips but not all the way through.
  3. Flip over and repeat on other side.
  4. insert a skewer through the middle to help stretch out the potato.
  5. Coat with olive oil and place in oven or air fryer until golden brown.
