Ham Balls

Mike Patterson from the Minnesota Pork Board shows us how to make pork’s version of the meat ball…ham balls!

1.5 lbs Ground Ham
1 lb Ground Pork
2 Eggs
1 Cup Milk
1.25 Cups Saltine Cracker Crumbs

Beat eggs with milk in a large bowl.  Add crackers and allow them to become soft.  Add ground ham and ground pork, mix well.  Form into meatballs, and put in a 9 x 13 pan.


1.5 Cups Brown Sugar
.5 Cup Water
.5 Cup Vinegar
1 Tblsp Mustard

Heat sauce to boiling and pour over the ham balls.  Bake uncovered at 350 for 90 minutes, turning the ham balls over halfway through the cooking time.
