The Minnesota Wild has two of its starters back on the ice. Jared Spurgeon and Cam Talbot are expected to start in Monday’s game against the Montreal Canadiens.

"Spurgeon looks good we wanted to make sure he had plenty of time to heal and get his legs back, he’ll be on the ice for us tonight," says Wild head coach Dean Evason.

Talbot has missed six games with a lower-body injury, but he’ll be in net tonight for the Wild. Kaapo Kahkonen went 5-1 in his absence.

"It’s great to be back. Kaapo did a great job when I was rehabbing. I have the utmost confidence in him and myself as we move forward in the season," Talbot said Monday morning.

The Wild have won five of their last six games.

Montreal is in town and has two Minnesotans hoping to have a productive homecoming. Former Wild center Rem Pitlick and former St. Cloud State star and Lakeville native Ryan Poehling.
