Over the years Target Center and Xcel Energy Center have held many big-name concerts.
However, there’s a lesser-known, family-run, Minnesota venue that has brought entertainers to the stage for more than six decades.
From Johnny Cash to Garth Brooks, the Medina Entertainment Center has hosted concerts for several big names.
Owner Mark Raskob’s father and two uncles started the business in 1956.
"He said they used to go to Lake Sarah all the time and go dancing and they didn’t want to go there, so they decided to build their own place," Raskob said.
A hallway serves as a wall of fame for those artists who have performed over the years, until the pandemic caused all concerts to stop.
"It’s very frustrating," Raskob said. "Just to see the business not have anybody coming in. Nobody coming up seeing a show having a great time it’s hard."
Raskob hopes concerts will return next year.
