Ice Castles not returning to Minnesota due to pandemic
After six winters in Minnesota, Ice Castles will not be returning to Minnesota this winter due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to a release, the popular winter attraction will be scaling back the number of locations. The company will have four locations instead of six and Minnesota will not be one of them.
"We would like to thank everyone who has supported Ice Castles over the years by visiting our Minnesota location," Ice Castles CEO Kyle Standifird said in a statement. "Although we have decided not to bring Ice Castles back to the Twin Cities this winter, we look forward to returning to Minnesota in the future."
Last winter, the Minnesota Ice Castles location was at Long Lake Regional Park in New Brighton. The company has also had locations in Stillwater, Excelsior, Eden Prairie, and at Mall of America in the past.
Ice Castles hopes to return to Minnesota again in January 2022, if the situation permits.
