Fish house breaks through ice on Stearns County lake
Authorities in Stearns County say no one was injured after a fish house broke through the ice on Big Watab Lake.
Authorities were called to the lake just after noon on Jan. 3 on the report of a fish house that went through the ice.
When deputies arrived, they found the fish house being removed from the water.
According to the sheriff’s office, the fish house went through a section of thin ice about 30 to 40 feet from the shoreline.
A towing service was able to successfully remove the house from the ice.
