Trumpeter Swans

Once a native species in Minnesota, the trumpeter swans had just about disappeared in the state by 1932.  In the 1960’s Minnesota began a restoration effort for the swans.  The DNR’s Non-Game Wildlife Program began in the 1970’s as part of this effort.  Carrol Henderson was the first person hired for that program and joins us to talk about the effort.
