Activities at the Arboretum

Minnesota Live Producer, Lauren Andrego, takes us to Chaska, home of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. She brings to our attention the endangered status of the Monarch butterfly, and how we can support their survival.

The Arb also is a center for apple related research. Lauren is joined by some of the researchers behind these apples to discover what the 10 year process can produce, and what is to come in the future!

Although it may take 10 years to create a new apple, Apple Jam is just around the corner. On September 24^th the fourth annual Apple Jam will commence in Chaska at the Arboretum. There will be games, live music, food and beverages, and other apple themed activities!
