Major interstates, highways reopen in Twin Cities after overnight closures

Major highways in the metro have reopened after closures overnight due to civil unrest surrounding the death of George Floyd.

The closures ran from 7 p.m. Saturday to 6 a.m. Sunday.

Here is a list of the interstates and highways that were impacted:

  • I-35W between I-694 and Highway 62
  • I-35E between Highway 36 and Highway 62
  • I-94 between I-694 and the I-694/I-494 interchange
  • I-394 between Highway 100 and I-94
  • Highway 55 between Highway 62 and I-94
  • Westbound Minnetonka Blvd. at France Avenue in St. Louis Park

Routes that exit downtown areas remained open.
