Major interstate, highway closures lifted Monday morning, Metro Transit service suspension continues
The Minnesota Department of Transportation lifted interstate and highway closures that were put into place Sunday evening.
Road closures began closing at 5 p.m. Sunday. They were lifted at 6 a.m. Monday.

Closures were implemented due to civil unrest surrounding the death of George Floyd.
Meanwhile, all transit service through Metro Transit will be suspended through the end of Tuesday, with an update planned no later than 8 p.m.
All bus, light rail and Northstar service will remain suspended through at least Tuesday, June 2. An update will be provided no later than 6 p.m. on Tuesday about service the following day. Read more at https://t.co/DQzymFaT2x

For all essential workers, Metro Transit says Metro Mobility and Transit Link are opening their service for trips until regular service resumes.
