Jay-Z applauds decision to have Minnesota AG Ellison lead George Floyd case
Rapper Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter is thanking Gov. Tim Walz for calling in Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison to lead prosecution with the George Floyd case.
During a news conference Sunday, Walz said Jay-Z called him over the weekend and that during the call, the rapper spoke to him as a father.
"He knows the world is watching, and how Minnesota handles this is going to have an impact across the country," Walz said, adding that Jay-Z stressed to him "justice needs to be served."
